We are Together Culture: Meet Bel

Together Culture is growing a community of outrageously curious, open-minded and creative members who care for each other and want to build a more inclusive and ecological Cambridge. Today we’re introducing you to Bel, one of our Together Culture Helpers.
Why did you become a member?
I became a member to have a space to come to work and meet new people. I was passing by Fitzroy Street and realised that the old shop looked different. After some weeks I decided to enter and find out what was that red and curious place: my new home.
What (if anything) has exceeded your expectations about Together Culture?
I imagined that all the members would be creative and good people, but everyone made me feel more than welcome every time I came to this place. I started looking for a place and effectively entered into a community.
How has being a member of Together Culture impacted your well-being, if at all?
It could sound simple and unimportant, however, leaving my house and having a place to work independently - with humans around though - is so significant. I never liked to be isolated, and I also enjoy silence and concentration. Together Culture provides this and much more.
What would you tell someone who is interested in joining Together Culture?
Visit our space, come to any event and feel the vibe.
What is your work/passion and how do you hope to use that at Together Culture?
My passion is to solve problems, help people and join projects which resonate with me. I expect to use my abilities in social communication, design and arts and crafts to bring joy and to help the community flourish.
How do you hope the Together Culture membership can change Cambridge
We are a great group with different voices. We can sing together as a choir, giving space and rhythm to each other. Our voices can resonate all around Cambridge and show that this city is more than only a "university city".
